Join the Urban Indian Center of Salt Lake for our weekly Youth & Family Culture Class! Bring your family together to connect, learn, and celebrate traditional practices in a welcoming community space.
When & Where
Day & Time: Every Tuesday, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Location: Urban Indian Center of Salt Lake, 120 W. 1300 S., Salt Lake City, UT 84115
Weekly Schedule & Traditional Plant Teachings
Each session begins with traditional plant teachings focused on key values, followed by traditional dance and singing practice, regalia repair, crafts, and stick-games:
October 27: Youth & Family Culture Class Halloween Kick-Off
November 3: Pumpkin – Creativity and Expression
November 10: Nettle – Building Inner Strength
November 17: Willow – Flexibility
November 24: Pinion Pine – Resilience
December 1: Yarrow – Boundaries
December 8: Big Leaf Maple – Willingness

Eligibility: Participants must be a registered client or live within the same household as a registered client of the Urban Indian Center of Salt Lake.
